About House of Quarshie

Born and raised Ghanian, growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, it was inevitable that visionary, Akosua Bempomaah-Quarshie, would birth a business of her own. 

 

House of Quarshie started as just a thought as Akosua engaged in brainstorming exchanges with her family and friends in Augusta, GA. Then, during a visit to Ghana to celebrate the life of her grandmother, God connected her with people who supported and uplifted the vision. It was there, through that outpouring of Ghanian love, that the specific vision  of House of Quarshie came to life. 

 

Visiting different markets in Ghana gave Akosua an unwavering desire to bring its traditions back home to the U.S.—handmade bags and authentic clothing and accessories—all made by Ghanian men and women who are gracious enough to share their talents with the world. House of Quarshie is an homage to Akosua’s homeland—a boutique offering authentic fashion with modern flair.
